Big announcement! WYCE has invited Turtl to come do an interview and perform a set of originals for GR Live Radio at The Big Room. Sponsorship update! Unfortunately the guitar we received from Firehouse Guitars had a factory defect. Being the awesome company they are they shipped it right off to Fender and we received a brand new fresh out of the box California Series acoustic. Paired with the 40w Fender Acoustisonic this package is a songwriter's dream! With two input channels, the amp allows for a vocal mic and guitar to be paired together for instant gigging! This package will be raffled off throughout the year at all Freakquency Entertainment events as well as select events leading to a giveaway to be held in December! Every entry to our events earns a raffle entry and all tickets are $10 a piece. Our hope is that this raffle will help us achieve our NPO status so we can better serve our community through our events. Freakquency Entertainment had the absolute pleasure of producing and co-hosting one of the central illinois' favorite parties for the 7th year! Uncle Bob of Uncle Bob's Homemade Ice Cream has thrown one of the best community birthday parties for more than two decades and we're proud to have been here for the better part of the last! From pre show, day of and post show site ops to day of production and stage management as well as audio engineering, the party went down without a hitch even though it grew to over 400 attendees this year! We helped Bob celebrate his 70th birthday in the best fashion and with the plethora of musicians that were on hand we had ourselves one unforgettable night of community, music, and ICE CREAM!!!!! We love you Bob and thanks for trusting us with helping with your big celebration! Happy fourth of July! Freakquency Entertainment would like to thank Smiling Acres for having us out to host the work shop tent at this year's event! From yoga and hula hoop workshops to drum circles and silent discos, we see more and more patron participation each and every year! We are so grateful to be able to be part of such an amazing event and can't wait til next year! Take a look back at the past weekend and enjoy the holiday safely!

Less than one week a way! Get your tickets for one of the best fests in the Midwest! We'll be on site helping host music, permaculture, and yoga workshops as well as the silent disco! This year also sees the launch of Festioke! Come find us 6-8pm Friday and Saturday for your chance to get up on stage and share your voice! All ages are well come so bring the fam out for what's sure to be an unforgettable weekend!

Tidbits, reminders, and pop-up thoughts before SAMF 2025.

Tickets are $95 UNTIL Friday morning of Smiling Acres Music Festival 2025. Gate prices for the weekend jump to $135. Get your ticket before we sell out or before Friday 12:00am! You want that extra moolah to spend at the vendors!

Your email is your ticket. There is a code that will be scanned. Please have that ready when you pull in. You may want to print it or have a screen shot of the tickets. Cell reception is spotty here. It’s a festival, it’s the weekend, it’s time to unplug anyway!

We do have walk-up camping. If you are looking at the map of the festival grounds, there are sites in the woods behind the southern tree line. You can park in day parking and hoof it back to some pretty spectacular views for your tent or hammock. Please remember there is no smoking or fires. This includes camp stoves. We will have an area for cooking near the start of the Nature Trail.

Oh. This is important! PLEASE park with tongue out on your camper, and park your vehicle facing out just in case there’s a reason for immediate evacuation. We will have parking attendants walking around that can assist you if you need help. If they ask you to adjust your vehicles/campers, please do.

Gates open at 9:00 AM on Friday, June 27th!

No loud generators, nothing above 60db, and please only run your generators between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM!

Open Mic is available to sign up online. Head on over to our website: you’ll find “Open Mic” in the Attendees menu! If time slots are not filled before the festival, there will be a sign-up sheet in the Smiling Acres General Store.

Hmmm, what else should we talk about? Oh! There is a scavenger hunt for kids! Pick up the first clue at the Smiling Acres General Store! A special shout out to Nathan Powell for that.

Make sure you look where you are disposing of your disposables. We have barrels marked for your garbage needs. They are color-coordinated with signs. One BIG ask, please put returnables only in the returnable barrels. It’s not cool to tube your leftover food plates and cram it through the opening.

We will have a dumpster again this year. Also, if you put trash in bags and returnables out by the road, our Sanitation Crew will pick it up. Garbage bags available at the store.
