“Happy Birthday!” One of my favorite movie moments was in the classic Disney animation Cinderella. The mice and birds had been working hard to make a beautiful dress for Cinderella to wear to the ball. After a defeating day, Cinderella retreated to her bedroom, unaware of her friend's doings, and was elated and humbled by their kindness. Her friends all shout, “Surprise!” while Gus Gus, beaming with excitement for his friend, innocently hollers, “Happy Birthday!” While it may not have been Cinderella’s official birthday, being surrounded by her friends and their kindness must have made it feel like it was. I think everyone deserves that “Happy Birthday” feeling during all of life's celebrations.

The DazEj Crew love to make ornaments. Each kiddo makes a new one for our tree each year. When A, Z, and J were babies we made ornaments with their handprints. We also used their fingertips to paint different colored strings of lights on ornaments. Amazing keepsakes I will always cherish.
