I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of knowing that someone trusts us to deliver their feelings through flowers.

Whether it’s love, sympathy, celebration, encouragement, or simply an “I’m thinking of you,” you trust us to be a small part of someone’s special moment.

Okay, how have I been sleeping on Brightside Kitchen?! 😍

I first heard about Brightside when one of our mutual clients ordered flowers from us for a private dinner with their chef. After seeing the menu for that dinner, I knew I HAD to check this place out, being a foodie myself.

Well, I finally made it in and OH. MY. GOODNESS. 🤤👏🏼

I ordered the sausage, egg & cheese breakfast sandwich on a jalapeño cheddar bagel, and it was SO good. Real sausage, fluffy thick eggs, melty cheese, and that bagel… 10/10.

And the restaurant itself? The cutest little hidden gem right here in Peoria.

But this is also your reminder to GO TRY THE LOCAL PLACE. 🩷

Skip the chain once this week and try that locally owned restaurant you keep hearing about. Grab coffee from the little shop down the street. Shop the local boutique. Order from a local florist — and yes, even as a florist, I’ll tell you there are so many great flower shops in our area! We all have our own style, specialties, and something different to offer.

Supporting local doesn’t mean you have to support the same business every single time. It means choosing to keep your dollars in our community when you can.

Those dollars help pay local employees, support local families, and keep the unique little businesses that make Peoria Peoria around for another day.

So here’s my challenge: try ONE local business this week that you’ve never been to before. Then tag them or share them so someone else discovers them too.

IT’S FINALLY LIVE! Thank you for all your patience I finally have the Majhong 101 ready to book. Please see the link at the bottom to register.

🀄️ Learning Mahjong shouldn’t feel rushed!

One thing we’ve learned since opening The Parlor is that everyone learns Mahjong differently. Some people pick it up quickly, while others need to see it, play it, and practice it a few times before everything clicks.

And guess what? Both are completely normal.

That’s why we decided NOT to structure our Mahjong lessons like everyone else.

💕 Mahjong 101 2.5 Hours
Learn the basics, understand the tiles, how to read the card, set up the game, and start playing.

And here’s the best part: You can take Mahjong 101 as many times as you feel you need to. There’s no pressure to “graduate” after one class.

🀄️ Then comes Guided Play.
Once you understand the basics, stay for Guided Play or come back for another session. This is where we help you actually PLAY—answering questions along the way and beginning to teach strategy.

Already know how to play but want help with strategy? You can come straight to Guided Play.

Our goal isn’t to get you through a class.

Our goal is to get you comfortable enough to sit down at a Mahjong table, understand what’s happening, and actually enjoy playing. 💗

Learn at your pace. Come back when you need practice. Ask all the questions.
