There was really only one way for the owner of the Pensacola Ice Flyers to enter his wedding reception. ๐Ÿ’โ

Sanri and Greg ran through a tunnel of hockey sticks while their guests cheered them onto the dance floor, and it was every bit as fun as it looks. Even Maverick, the Ice Flyers mascot, showed up to help celebrate!โ

This spring was WET, and Megan and Noahโ€™s wedding day joined right in. The clear umbrella went with us from Old Christ Church to the yacht club, and Megan changed into sneakers to walk the dock without a second thought.โ

I love when couples choose to read their vows privately. There is something so special about stepping away from everyone for a few minutes and saying the things that are meant only for each other - no microphone, no audience, and no pressure.โ

It creates a quiet little pause in the middle of a very full wedding day, and I get to photograph it from a distance while giving them space to be completely present with each other. The laughter, the tears, the long hug afterward - it all feels incredibly real and completely theirs.โ

Same moment, two completely different photographs.

I was outside Villa Pizzo photographing Perla and Chris in that gorgeous doorway while Tiffany was inside, photographing them as they walked toward the lake.

This is the beauty of having two photographers, especially when one of them is Tiffany. She is a primary photographer with just as much experience as I have, and it is such a pleasure shooting beside her. I can commit to the angle I see and know that everything outside my view is being photographed just as beautifully as if I were standing there myself.

Also, Villa Pizzo was really showing off. Inside, outside, toward the lake, toward the villaโ€ฆgorgeous from every single angle. ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น

Okay, this CEREMONY.

Perla and Chris were married on the terrace at Villa Pizzo with Lake Como behind themโ€ฆcasual. And Perlaโ€™s ceremony look! She added that gorgeous couture lace jacket and a cathedral-length blusher veil, and I mean, LOOK at her.

A few minutes later, the veil was lifted, they were married, and I got to keep photographing them in this ridiculous place. ๐Ÿค

Afterward, we climbed onto a wooden boat and cruised past the villa where they had just said their vows. Thatโ€™s Villa Pizzo behind them in the first photo. The mountains, the water, the boatโ€ฆLake Como really does not need our help. ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น

These two quietly eloped at the courthouse in downtown Pensacola, and then we spent a beautiful golden hour celebrating what they had just done.โ

There was no reception timeline and nowhere we needed to rush off to, so we simply followed the prettiest light and let them enjoy being married. The trees were glowing, they were lovely, and the whole evening felt easy and happy.โ
