Does anyone have $100 I can borrow? I need to make another Home Depot run. Seriously has anyone ever gone in there without spending less than a hundred dollars? I’m never going to financially recover from this… they say BOAT stands for bust out another thousand. Well HD should stand for Hundred Dollars because I’ve yet to spend less than that in one trip, and I’ve made as many as 3 trips in one day! Did I mention I’m unemployed? Donate to my gofundme! 😂

Renovating this entire house by myself has been physically, mentally and emotionally taxing. I haven’t had much time to enjoy this place so I had to stop an take a breath and remind myself why I came down here. So me and my boy Cooper went down to the Bayou for a little dip. He is the only one I can count on and I am his emotional support as much as he is mine.

On today’s episode of Can I Eat it?! We found some crabs that may have lived to see another day. While these crabs themselves obviously wouldn’t be good to eat, they would make excellent bait for something that is!

I’m never going to finish the patio and get my blue collar at this point if I have to keep recycling old raw materials 😅. Someone tell me I’m doing this wrong please. Seemed like a good alternative to having to pay for a dump truck of fill dirt or gravel when I only needed a few wheel barrows full. What are my true blue collar brothers doing to for a base below the paver base when you are laying pavers on sand? I don’t have any heavy machinery like a skid steer or a compactor so I’m using what I have. I know I could rent them at Home Depo for relatively cheap, but cheap is relative!

We made it to the garden section based on a lot of the recommendations (HD not Lowe’s). We just started leveling the ground to get the base prepped for pavers. I got a GREAT deal on some leftover pavers from a construction company, but I had to make a quick stop at HD for the paver base and sand. We will hopefully have it finished before the weekend is over and I can share an update. I apologize to everyone that is waiting for part 5 at the Lowe’s garden center! I haven’t had the time to immerse myself in Lowe’s culture just yet, but I promise it’s coming!

I’m sure most of yall are familiar with my costar, Cooper the golden retriever. However his poor stinky little brother, Doobie the skunk, hasn’t gotten his 15 minutes of fame yet, so this is his official introduction to the Nate’s Steaks brand. I was thinking on doing a miniseries about these two goofballs. Think Pinky and the Brain but instead it’s “Coopy and the Doob”. Guess which one is the evil genius!

Apologies for the click bait it’s actually just a “steak” burger, but it was sooo good! We mixed up some ground beef with salt, pepper, paprika, jalapeños, onions, garlic, and mozzarella cheese. These burgers were 🤌🏻
