🫶🏻 first yarrow harvest 🌸🩷

Cut our almost spent yarrow blooms to encourage new growth for the rest of the summer. Patiently waiting for our yellow variety to start blooming. Wish you could smell this! 😍

Just a little note from this gardener. 🌿🌷🌸 As I have gotten a few messages requesting flowers.

I started this hobby as a stress relief in 2020 when the world shut down and my dad was sick in the hospital. This had become so therapeutic for me to play in the dirt, grow beautiful things and work hard. I LOVE flowers, I always have. There has been H O U R S of planning my mood board, building more beds, planning events, etc. A lot of behind the scenes prep for this year. Parts of it became stressful and frankly that’s not what I want to sign up for.

I have no desire to do this full time as then it will lose its healing and reward for me. I have had to remind myself I started this for a release and to grow pretty things for others.

🌸All this to say; this will continue to be a hobby for me.🌸

There were several moments this spring that it hadn’t become fun anymore, and I don’t want that to happen. I started comparing our growth to others, it became unhealthy. Just a little planting lesson, you have to wait until there’s no danger of frost to plant outdoors. Mother’s Day is the safe day in Indiana to do that.

So basically, I LOVE growing flowers, and I want to continue to love growing flowers. Let’s flourish together this summer. 😍🌺🌼

Our peonies have officially peaked through! 😍 It’s one of our biggest dreams, to have a peony patch and this whole area will be FULL of them one day. Since we chose to plant roots in the fall it will be a few years before we have flowers, but it will be so worth it! 🥹😍🥰

The frost finally came… 2023 growing season is officially finished. Thank you all so much for being here for our first season! We can’t wait to be back and better next year. Only about 140 more days… Keep an eye out for our sneak peaks for next season.
