I’m proud to announce that $675,000 was recently secured for recreational improvements and natural resource conservation in our district!

The following projects were granted funding:

• $400,000 for the development of Wedgewood Hills Park in Susquehanna Township

• $275,000 for the rehabilitation and further development of Penbrook Borough Community Park

These investments will help improve communities and support the long-term health and vitality of our shared spaces. I look forward to seeing these projects take shape and continuing to work to bring resources and investments to our community!

📣 Friendly Reminder! Leaf collection begins on Monday for the North Side (North of Walnut Street)! Please sweep your leaves into a pile at your curb for pick up. Please ensure that no sticks, rocks, grass clippings, trash, or other foreign objects are included, as these can damage the machine.

Refer to the schedule for future dates for collection!

The 2026 Leaf Pick Up Schedule has been updated: https://www.penbrook.org/leaf/

To get rid of the leaves from your property, sweep them into the street at the curb, during the week when your section of the Borough will have them collected. Please do not call the Borough Offices to have your leaves picked up, they will be collected on the schedule below. The dividing line between the North and South sides of the Borough is Walnut Street. If you are living north of Walnut, including the north side of Walnut Street, use the North Side Schedule, if not, use the South Side Schedule. Collection will be starting each week below.

Please check all leaf piles on the street to make sure there is no trash or sticks in them. Trash and sticks may damage the leaf machine, as well as cause it to jam up.

📣 SPREAD THE WORD!!!📣
Due to this weekend's impending weather, the difficult decision has been made to postpone Fall Fest. Although we were very much looking forward to gathering for this event tomorrow, we want to ensure that everyone is safe and able to enjoy Fall Fest to the fullest extent. Please mark your calendars for Saturday, October 24th! Additional details will be shared soon!
