🥙 It’s National Hummus Day! 🎉
There’s no better time to whip up a batch of creamy, dreamy hummus from scratch. This simple recipe is packed with flavor and perfect for dipping, spreading, or scooping!
✨ Homemade Hummus Recipe
Ingredients:
1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (about 1 large lemon)
1/4 cup tahini
1 small garlic clove, minced
2 tbsp olive oil (plus more for serving)
1/2 tsp ground cumin
Salt to taste
2–3 tbsp cold water
Optional Toppings: Paprika, chopped parsley, pine nuts, or a drizzle of olive oil
Instructions:
In a food processor, blend tahini and lemon juice for 1 minute.
Add garlic, olive oil, cumin, and a pinch of salt. Blend again.
Add chickpeas and blend until smooth.
Add cold water gradually until desired consistency is reached.
Spoon into a bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and garnish. Enjoy!
