A true legend in the Birmingham Bulls Hockey franchise. We're remembering Phil Roberto today.

The Birmingham Bulls join the entire hockey community in mourning the passing of former Bulls player and coach Phil Roberto.

Phil played 12 seasons in the NHL, winning the Stanley Cup in 1971 with Montreal, before finishing his playing career in 1978 as a Birmingham Bull. He later coached the Bulls in the ECHL from 1993-1996.

The Bulls offer our deepest condolences to the entire Roberto Family. We'll truly miss seeing him hanging around the rink this fall.

The Pelham Civic Complex is now offering individual day registrations for summer camp! 🎉

No more full-week-only options—now you can register for just 1, 2, 3, or 4 days per week to fit YOUR family's schedule. Whether you're juggling work or just need a break to catch up, we’ve got you covered at $65/day. 🙌

👉 Here’s how to register for individual days:

2️⃣ Select the week your child will attend
3️⃣ Add the full week to your cart
4️⃣ Complete registration as normal—select meal options, fill out all required details, etc.

Our Summer Camp is a full-day experience packed with fun for kids of all interests — and the best part? It's open to everyone — not just Pelham residents!

Yes, there’s ice skating (of course!), but our camp is so much more than that. We’re talking crafts, nature hikes, indoor & outdoor games, water play, and more. It’s a full summer of fun under one roof — rain or shine!

Our Story

Tucked below Oak Mountain, only 20 minutes south of Birmingham, the Pelham Civic Complex and Ice Arena is Shelby County’s finest entertainment, conference and banquet facility. It is the ideal place to showcase your special event.

ICE ARENA

We feature two NHL-sized ice arenas, a skating school, and skating-birthday party rooms. We are home to Birmingham Bulls Hockey, The Birmingham Figure Skating Club, and the Pelham Youth Hockey League. We also offer dedicated ice-time for the recreational ice skater, figure skater or hockey player. Call us to reserve your time on the ice!
