Cocktail hour on the Terrace might just be our favorite part of the day at Oakhaven. As guests move to this space, they’re greeted by the perfect backdrop for mingling, toasting, and savoring every in-between moment of your celebration.

Your exit doesn't have to be the last thing that happens are your wedding at Experience Oakhaven. This couple did theirs earlier in the reception treating the rest of the night as their victory lap.

With the exit and every planned photo already behind them, the rest of the night belonged to the dance floor. Nobody had to make a pit stop for one more picture when the music finally stopped and most of the wedding party only had the short walk back to the onsite housing.

North Carolina weather doesn't always cooperate, whether it's a heat wave, rain, or freezing cold. Over the Fourth of July weekend this past year, it sent a heat wave. This couple had pictured their vows under the Oak tree, but had to pivot. The Oakhaven team moved the ceremony inside the reception space and set up the day in the cool.

You can't control the weather at an outdoor venue, but you can have a team that already knows what to do when it turns. Send this to the friend who's already checking the forecast for their date.

Say your vows on our terrace on Saturday, November 7, with up to 10 of your people there, then head into the reception hall to celebrate.

The Oakhaven team would love to have you for an elopement with everything already taken care of. The beautiful fall backdrop of the land stretching behind you. Afterward, everyone heads inside for cake and a toast.

What’s included:
- A 20-minute ceremony on the terrace, with the reception hall as our rain plan
- A professional officiant to lead your ceremony and sign your marriage license
- A bouquet and boutonnière that are yours to keep
- 25 images from a photographer
- A cocktail-hour style reception with ch*****ne toast, cake cutting, and appetizers
- A wedding day host from our team to help with your timeline
- Parking for you and your 10 guests

There are three time slots for that day: 10:15a-12:15p, 1:00p-3:00p, and 3:45p-6:30p. There is no overlap, so the space is all yours for the two hours. The 3:45p ceremony lands right in golden hour, so your portraits come as the sun is going down.

Everybody woke up on the property, so getting ready started whenever people finished their morning coffee. One group took the Honeymoon Cottage, the other took the Manor house.

No hotel rooms or people stuck in traffic with a garment bag. Just music going in two different houses and a morning that didn't need to be rushed. It's what happens when you pick a North Carolina wedding venue where everyone can stay the weekend instead of checking in somewhere and driving over.
