3 QUESTIONS TO ASK YOURSELF BEFORE HIRING A WEDDING PLANNER

🌟Do I need help with the logistics of the wedding day, the look and feel of the wedding day, or both?

🌟Do I have the capacity and the interest in researching vendors, or would I rather have a weeding planner handle that and just show me a curated list from their expertise?

🌟Am I looking for wedding planning direction from start to finish or am I looking for an expert to oversee from a distance just to make sure I’m not forgetting anything?

The answers to these questions directly help us guide new inquiries to the wedding planning package that works best for them! This relationship between planner and client is based on trust and communication, and we’ve seen that the earlier we know these answers the more equipped we are to build a healthy relationship with clear expectations.

3 TIPS FOR A PERFECT PRIVATE ESTATE WEDDING

We’ve seen an uptick in events happening on family property in the last few years and we love to see it when done well! Don’t forget these 3 things when considering to go that route:

💗 The extra and not-so-glamorous side of an event need to be accounted for early on in the budget (restrooms, trash, tenting, parking / transportation)

💗Keep the guest experience in mind! This is true in any venue but especially at your family home, what might not seem like a big deal to you will translate different to a group of 100 (i.e. If guests are making a long trek to the ceremony, consider a beverage station early on in the walk to distract from the journey you’re taking them on 😉)

💗Hire a planner EARLY - there are a few more logistics to consider at a private estate where events aren’t happening on the regular and it will absolutely ease your stress to hire the logistical experts early on ☺️

5 WEDDING DAY DETAILS THAT ARE MUST HAVES

❣️Es**rt Display (we have a whole separate post dedicated to some ideas for this ☺️)

❣️Place Cards - this is a great place for personalization and to bring in the wedding aesthetic at each place setting. If dinner is buffet and you aren’t looking to do personalized place cards for everyone we suggest doing them for your head table at least!

❣️Accessorize your pup! If you’re including your pet in the ceremony (or even just pre-ceremony photos) give them a cute floral pop or coordinated leash to tie them into the wedding party color palette

❣️Make time for those sunset photos 🔥🙌🏼 We could go on and on about this one so please take our word on it.

❣️Tabletop Rentals - while individually these items might seem extravagant, together your dinner tables illustrate the wedding aesthetic you’ve been planning for and they should feel purposeful, whether there is a specific napkin fold or a funky charger you love, take time with your planner to select pieces that make sense with the overall design.
