Last week, Peabody TV hosted a private premiere of "A Legacy of Leadership: The Story of Peter Torigian", a new documentary highlighting the life and career of one of Peabody’s most impactful mayors at Peabody's Black Box. The event was held exclusively for Mayor Torigian’s family, those who participated in the film, and a few local dignitaries.

Directed and edited by Courtney Macloon, the film has been over a decade in the making. It tells the story of Mayor Torigian’s 24-year career in public service, his commitment to community programs, and the legacy of leadership he left behind. Through archival footage and interviews with family, friends, and local leaders, the documentary offers a personal look at how his work continues to shape Peabody today.

A public screening is planned for early spring, where tickets will be available for purchase. Following that, the documentary will be available to stream online so that even more people can experience this important piece of Peabody’s history.
