The Peabody 4th Fest doesn’t happen because of one person, one board, or even just the fireworks crew. It happens because people in this community step up.

As we look toward the future of this 105-year tradition, we’re looking for new volunteers, new ideas, and future leaders who want to help keep the Peabody 4th Fest going strong.

There are a lot of different ways to be involved. You do not have to know anything about fireworks, and you do not have to commit to taking on a huge responsibility.

We need people interested in the fireworks side of the celebration, including learning how our unique ground displays and set pieces are built, prepared, and brought to life.

We also need people interested in the festival and event side—helping organize gates and admission, coordinating activities throughout the day, working with food vendors and other vendors, helping with volunteers, and bringing new ideas to the celebration.
We’d especially love to hear from clubs, churches, school groups, organizations, businesses, and community groups that might want to organize or host an activity during the day. The 4th Fest can be more than something you attend—it can be something your organization helps create.

And we need to start preparing the next generation of leadership.
If you’ve ever thought you might be interested in serving on the Peabody 4th Fest board, we want to give you the opportunity to shadow our current board members, learn how everything works, and gradually take on more responsibility. In the years ahead, we will need people prepared to serve as Chairperson, Co-Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, and other leadership roles.

You don’t have to walk in knowing how to do any of it.
Come learn. Ask questions. Bring ideas. Find the part of the 4th Fest that interests you.

For those asking, we just got back to Peabody with a load of fireworks and the plan for now is the show will go on as planned!
