I am a full time working mom and an entrepreneur at heart that loves to stay as busy as possible. I have always had some type of desire for photography, especially when my mother bought me my first camera for my high school graduation present. She also gave me the creative drive I have always had, however it wasn't until the birth of my little one that I felt the need to expend some of my creative

energy outside of work. With friends and family interested in pictures, I've been able to satisfy my creative urge and take pictures... while exhibiting my creative spirit. Hey yoooooooo!

It certainly feels like life is flying by and heck, I am not even sure where the summer went. It is just about GONE and I am behind, like always with everythangggg.

Hey friends!!

I have been doing a ton of thinking lately about photography- the families and new friends I have found through it and the overall love I have photographing each and every one of you. Unfortunately though, I have found that as my children grow older and get more involved in sports/extracurriculars, I do not have much time left to spend on photography, especially after changing jobs at the company I have been working for. What does this mean you ask? Unfortunately, I have come to the fork in the road where decisions need to be made and I have decided to have this be my last year of photography. I’ll be photographing special projects only going forward which means my kiddos!!

For all inquiries, I will be providing referrals to those who closely match my work.

It has been a great 11+ years of constant growth and learning but now is the time where I need to be more present and focus my time to the fleeting moments and memories with our kids.

I sure love you all!!

Hey friends!!!

I hope everyone has had an amazing winter thus far and you’re enjoying the Michigan sun that has finally decided to come out recently!

I wanted to let you know that I have started to book up for sessions this year and like last year, my availability will be limited with all of the extracurriculars that will be present. This is my PSA telling you to inquire about availability and to get your sessions scheduled for 2023 sooner, rather than later! My fall was still relatively insane last year and I would like to avoid missing my little ones’ events. I would encourage you to take advantage of getting your family pictures scheduled early!

Sometimes it's the outtakes for me...in this case the outtakes get put in the final gallery for some good laughs later on in life! Ha!

Luckily we were able to take advantage of a 50 degree day while the snow stayed around for a few days post storm! Still was cold but we had a good time and the bloopers in this gallery cracked me up and even after a second comb through, there were some expressions that are definitely in need of making a graduation appearance. HA!

Let's talk about that weather last weekend..... It made for the perfect backdrop for some family photos but man, going through this gallery showed me hard it truly was coming down! I am so thankful to have gotten this session in even if we had to take some snowfall breaks to readjust until the snow let up a bit.

Mr. H though.... he was the real MVP that day. Didn't whimper one time and although mostly serious, he sure was an adorable subject that day!

Pretty sure this session was around 74 degrees on Nov. 10th- WOW! Super glad we were able to take advantage of the great weather and quickly snag some updated photos for the Winans crew. Each year I am amazed at how big these kids get but each time, they show UP in a big way with posing and expressions.

What also amazes me is the light that comes through on their property which we have used year after year. I don't really need a huge landscape to work, just a space where we can shoot a little wide and tight with foliage draping around. Their location is like a little hidden gem. Always amazed at the final product!

Happy belated Thanksgiving and happy Black Friday!!! I hope everyone had a chance to take a break and eat until their pants no longer fit :-)

The Ball family had such a beautiful property and JUST for their session, I ordered some of that gorgeous, warm fall weather Michigan folk come to love every year (kidding of course).... but goodness, did the weather turn shortly thereafter!!
