Is this other one better?
I had asked a few days ago about this high neck dress and some of you liked it and some though maybe it wasn't the best option because it looks like it needs a decent amount of of alterations in the bust area( I do not have it buttons in the back though so it would look slightly different all the way buttoned up in hoping .. I spent about 60 on it so I am sure I could resell it... I did ask about this other dress awhile back when I was a bit bigger ( I have lost almost 15 pounds since these pictures in the second one) but I have come across it second hand now and it is pretty decently priced as well... I am curious as to which one you think looks the best on me? I am definitely looking for a budget friendly option so not looking for ordering or buying a new dress. Thanks so much for your time and options I truly appreciate it!

Help! What veil for this detailed train?
My dress is a beaded fit and flare with a long, detailed train. I’ve always wanted a cathedral veil to contrast the fitted style of my dress and for more drama. At the same time, I’m worried I’ll regret covering up the train with a veil that long and don’t want to take attention away from it. Should I go for fingertip or cathedral?

Houston Bridal Boutique suggestions? Help!
Hi all Houston girls in here- In search of some boutique suggestions.

I unfortunately have been cursed with loving Sarah Seven, Cinq, Dana Harel and Danielle Frankel while my budget does not agree… SAD! In my opinion a lot of these Texas boutiques cater towards the super beaded, overly boho or more “Western” themed dresses.

My budget is around 4-5K. Wondering if anyone has had experience finding a similar style dress to the designers aforementioned (pics for inspo) at any boutiques in Houston?

I’ve written down the following boutiques I want to check out:

Ivory bridal Whittington bridal Brickhouse bridal BHLDN (Anthropologie)

Please let me know your experience if you are familiar with any of these!

Should I keep looking?
These are two dresses I think are alright from the boutique I went to. I would modify them to have a ruffle cap sleeve.

I’m not in love with either, and I am leaning toward the first. My max budget is in the ballpark of 5k. Should I keep looking?

What should I wear under my dress?
I am looking for what to wear under my dress. I just want to feel contained and snatched and have no clue where to begin. Usually with shapewear and using shorts, they roll around or are too tight around my back causing spill over. Also, the top will not be sheer. The dress came sheer in the back but i added material so it wasn’t see through. Any suggestions?

Wedding dress regret!
Hello! I’m having instant wedding dress regret. I’ve been shopping for a few weeks and thought I found the perfect one, but now I’m instantly regretting my choice. My mom bought it for me for 1400, but I still can’t get over this other dress that was 900. Both dresses are off the rack and would need alterations. I’m so regretting my choice that I’m leaning toward reimbursing my mom and buying the 900 dress.

I’m really struggling to decide between the two dresses. I want an unbiased opinion, so I won’t say which one is which. I just need help making a decision. I don’t want to regret the dress I wear for my wedding, but that would be another expense since it’s non-refundable and there are no guarantees that I can sell it for the amount I paid. All opinions welcome!

I said YES! Now what?
Wish I could add multiple pieces of flair! I said yes to my dress after falling in love with it two months ago. Shopped around a bit just to be sure, and also worked my 🍑 off (literally) losing twenty pounds by the time I made my “YES!” appointment. Worked out in my favor because I ended up getting it at a sample sale price and will only need minor alterations to take it in a bit.

I compared every other dress I tried on to this one. There was no contest. Everybody else that shopped with me (mom, grandma, 2 sisters, and bestie/MOH) liked different dresses. I love the way it fits me and I love the detail. Sisters both liked me in very simple silk dresses. Mom and grandma liked me in a tulle ball gown. Bestie liked me most in a less detailed/floral lace trumpet. I’m not second guessing because it’s 10000% MY dress, but I’m sad nobody else loves it like I do. I want that gasp moment when our loved ones see me on the big day.

Anyway, she’s purchased and now I need help with styling! Im definitely wearing my hair up (think Pam Anderson messy bun with pulled out fringe pieces). Im tall-ish and my fiancé is only a few inches taller than me, so having a rough time with shoes but love a heel. And I have a connection in the diamond industry so am able to get some pretty nice loaner jewelry for the day. Our ceremony is on a rooftop, so I want to maybe avoid a super long veil because of the wind. But pleaseeeee give me your best ideas!

Silhouette Help!
Hey all! I just went and tried on dresses for the first time, and am stuck between two very different styles of dresses. Dress 1 feels classical beautiful and romantic to me and still defines my waist nicely, while dress 2 feels more ... interesting? That's not quite the right word, but I'm not sure how to describe it. I feel like I see my figure (which I've been working hard for) and not just dress while wearing dress 2. The sample for dress 2 was too small, so it will be a bit looser around the legs if I order that for myself. I'd love any feedback you all can give on what gives me a better figure! Both dresses are silk. Thanks!

FINALLY narrowed it down
Please give me your opinions on these three dresses...I finally know I want one of these .. I've tried on sooo many 😬🫣 I just want to look back and like how I look 🥹

the first one isn't buttoned all the way in the back ( I couldn't button it myself ) so I'm hoping that will make the cheat area fit a bit different

the second was large and not clipped unfortunately

the third was too small and I couldn't zip all the way but it gives you a good idea

I really appreciate your time and advice! ❤️

To all artists, visitors, partners, vendors, volunteers and contractors.

We are upcycling and repurposing this year’s Festival of Thrift in response to 2020… an extraordinary year full of unforeseen challenges and hardships for all of us.

After weeks of careful consideration we have come to the decision, along with our great friends and partners at Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council, that holding a large-scale festival in Kirkleatham will not be possible this year.

However, although our Festival of Thrift event scheduled to take place in Kirkleatham on September 12 and 13 2020 has been officially cancelled, in our true thrifty style, we will instead be going ahead with a repurposed Festival that has had a socially distanced makeover for 2020.
