Cheers to no more detour🥂

The new Creston Road Bridge at Quail Creek (near South El Pomar Road) is now open, one week sooner than expected, after being closed for construction on June 1.

The bridge experienced significant structural damage during the winter 2023 storms.

Temporary repairs were completed at that time to re-open the road to the public, but the most recent work involved replacing the existing 85-year-old storm-damaged timber and concrete bridge with the new concrete bridge.

Gs on the Vineyard: Now enjoy full menu Friday to Sunday Rava W**es + Events

Introducing Chef Justin Alvarez! Justin grew up on the Central Coast after moving from Southern California. Cooking and sharing food has always been central to his family, almost an excuse to gather and share good times. He began cooking professionally at 15, working his way up from dishwasher, and constantly pushed himself to improve, soaking up every lesson anyone was willing to teach him. He was fortunate to have great mentors along the way who recognized his interest and helped him grow as a young cook.

He’s spent the last decade working in some of the best restaurants and w**eries in the area. His love of seafood and pizza-making comes as no surprise, as they’re staples at Gs. At the end of the day, his goal as a chef is to create memorable dishes people can share and truly enjoy with one another — because great food is the perfect excuse to get together and share good times.

From the Archive History of Rava W**es Property-
Sunset Magazine, September 1986 — “Discover the San Luis Obispo Adventure”

A flashback to SLO County before it was cool. This back-roads feature sent readers wandering from the historic mission heart of San Luis Obispo (still famous for its Thursday night Farmers’ Market) up through Paso Robles’ “hardworking cattle and horse country,” out to Cholame’s lone dude ranch, and down the coast through Cambria, San Simeon, and Avila Beach. Side stops included Cal Poly’s working farms, apple-picking on Santa Rosa Creek Road, Arabian horses at Creston Oaks, and the tiny towns of Templeton, Santa Margarita, and Atascadero — proof the Central Coast has always been made for slow, dotted-line detours off 101.
