Dagobah may be a swamp planet, but there was nothing swamp like at Lissy and Matt’s gorgeous reception today. Complete with florals from Wildflower Stem and Sundry and an amazing team of vendors, our bride and groom dreamt up a fairytale and we were so happy to be a part of their day.

Dear Brides and Grooms affected by COVID 19 closures and postponements,

We at Going to the Chapel understand your disappointment and frustration as many venues and vendors are finding it necessary to postpone your wedding day in light of the restrictions required to control the spread of COVID 19. As a wedding planner specializing in military weddings at the United States Naval Academy, I’d love to offer my expertise and knowledge of the Annapolis area vendors to you in providing a “Rebooking Special”. I will work with you for 2-3 weeks in locating venues and vendors available for your new wedding day. If after we’ve worked together to plan your wedding you’d like to continue my services through your wedding day, we make those arrangements.

When we first started out she set meetings with all of our possible vendors which ultimately led to us having the most fabulous team on our actual wedding day. As the wedding got closer she was on top of timelines, our payments due, proofreading everything, and consistently brought things to my attention that I would have never even thought of. About two weeks before our wedding I sent her a long rambling email and Jan responded calmly and reassured me everything I asked about she had under control and that’s exactly what she was there for."
