Back in July, that tables were turned and I had the chance to plan my own wedding! Picking and choosing which vendors to use were the easy decisions. Choosing flowers and a color palette, on the other hand, was probably the most difficult for me.
Since my newly hyphenated last name sounds like "pineapple" in Taiwanese, it was only appropriate to incorporate mini ornamental pineapple. I also incorporated other meaningful blooms to me like sweet pea (my husband's nickname for me), gladiolus buds (blooms my dad used to buy my mom), orchids (my mom's favorite AND I love the different textures/colors orchids provide) and we just went with it. I found my dress in about 1/2 hour and it was a blush gown which I never thought I'd wear. That kind of just set the tone for everything else!
Because my sister's family was in town for a short period of time, we decided to plan our wedding quickly while the whole family was here in LA. So here's the product of 6 weeks of planning of what I had hoped to be a low key (or as low key as possible) gathering of close friends and family I love. Desi also included a link to my SDE by Cotton Love Studios. Thank you to everyone who was involved that day!
