My daily delivery directions to my employees!
People in West Virginia don’t give directions using street names.
They give historical references.
“Go past the old barn that burned down in 1997.”
“Turn left where the coal tipple used to be.”
“If you hit the road where Jimmy flipped his truck in ’04, you went too far.”
None of these landmarks exist anymore.
But somehow everyone still knows exactly where they are.
