Born and raised in the Sunshine State, I am a 2006 Graduate from the one and only University of Florida (Go Gators) with a degree in Hospitality Management. I have over a decade of event experience and feel completely blessed that I have found my purpose in life and that is: being a mommy and planning events! Here is a little bit of my backgr

I started my career working in Catering Sales at an upscale Country Club. During my time in this industry, I soaked in all the knowledge of how the food and beverage runs on the backside of an event as well as how to accurately run an event timeline (because we know, everything revolves around the food). During my time at the Country Club, I assisted with nearly 450 weddings plus hundreds of other non-ceremonial events (i.e. golf tournaments, Gala's, birthday parties, retirements parties, bar/bat mitzvah's, holiday parties, etc). Although this career required a lot of invested time, I am forever grateful for all that I learned and have been able to keep with me during my own event planning adventures. Understanding the catering aspect of a wedding or event is so crucial in emplenting all of those details into an event timeline. I truly feel that having this knowledge helps set me a part from other wedding professionals because I can communicate with caterers and understand their needs which in return helps in running an extremely smooth reception/event. After departing from the Country Club, my husband and I started our own little family (see the picture above, that is my super sweet Ryker). Once he was born, I couldn't imagine not being at home with him so that is when my husband and I decided that it was time to put all of my knowledge and experience into my own wedding and event planning business. This gives me the opportunity and flexibility to work from home and still be with my sweet little boy. So, that leaves me with the best of both worlds: being able to watch him grow up as well as playing out a dream of mine by growing my event business.

What back yard dreams are made of! But what you don’t see is the behind the scenes of what it took to execute this vision… busting out the measuring wheel for accurate measurements, guided tours with vendors to ensure this will all fit. Meeting the rental companies days in advance (the perks of a private residence wedding) to meticulously place the tables according to plan. It’s a lot of work but OH.MY.GOSH. the outcome is beyond worth it. A huge shout out to the vendor team for perfect ex*****on!

The KKWE team is so ready for an amazing 2026!

Since we haven’t officially introduced the team yet, we’re taking this opportunity to say HI!

Kelly Kennedy Weddings and Events was established in 2016 and has thoughtfully grew to a team that provides the most amazing service to our clients.

Our Intro:
Kelly - Owner and Lead Planner. In the event industry since 2006 and leading our team to success!

Vanessa - Lead Planner. In the event industry for over a decade! The sweetest demeanor and the details queen!!

Elizabeth - Lead Planner. In the event industry for a few years. Has a heart for serving and does it soooo well!

Allison - Office Manager. The gatekeeper to all of our behind the scenes, client work and processes. She is irreplaceable and such an amazing asset to our team.

Lisa - Event assistant. Full time in the dentist field, extra detailed on event days! An OG to KKWE! She has been assisting us since 2017!

Skylar - Event assistant. A Senior in college and a love for the event world. We can’t wait to build her knowledge of all.things.events!

Jen - Event assistant. A full time mommy but loves the weekends with us. Also, an amazing graphic designer!!
