Weekday mornings in the Wild household! No kids going back to school for us, but the animals keep us busy. Keeping our menagerie clean, enriched, and fed a varied and healthy diet are time consuming tasks but of paramount importance.

Regular positive handling is what keeps our animals socialized and ensures they enjoy coming to party with you 💕

For the baby rabbits, handling begins at day 1. A few lucky folks will get to meet these babies at late September and October events, limited fall dates remain so reach out now to get your animal party in the books.

What a Wednesday to remember! We had such a fantastic time with you guys at West Norriton Township’s National Night Out. What an incredible turnout- thank you to everyone for being so patient while waiting in our long line. It meant so much to us and Minnow and I truly enjoyed having fun and sharing the magic of equine connection with everyone.

Minnow was a total star amidst hundreds of riders, helicopter landings, party music, playing children, bounce houses and more. She loves her job ⭐️

We heard our birthday boy liked BLUE 💙 and said, “say no more!”

From her halter down to her sparkly blue toes, Minnow came dressed to please a super special kid who just loves blue. Our youngest rider at this party was 1 and our oldest was 14 making it our most diverse age group yet- and what struck me the most was the amount of community.

Neighbors from all over, with cultural and age differences, gathered to ride a pony, play games, and sing “Happy Birthday”! It was the most polite and patient group of kids, and I think each child had at least three turns. We were there for nearly three hours and everyone was engaged and enjoying Minnow the whole darn time. Thanks so much for having us!

Unbridled childhood joy! ☀️ We love having the privilege of making these sweet memories with your kids, and sharing the magic of horses. I can’t help but smile along while leading them on Minnow, listening to their giggles and seeing them light up.

How mini is a mini chicken? Cyrus on the left weighs 13 ounces and Quinoa on the right weighs 15 ounces. Less than a pound but full of personality!

Quinoa was actually born (hatched) here with me, and is turning 8 next month 🥹 She has participated in many public and private programs over the years and is a true veteran.

Cyrus and Quinoa are serama chickens, which are a bantam breed known for their diminutive size and great temperaments.

Something really special happened at an event last weekend.

I had brought two bunnies, who were grooming each other and bouncing around happily in their play yard. I noticed a woman stopped nearby, just quietly observing them. After a moment, I approached her to say hello, and she said something that stuck with me.

“I’m feeling so nostalgic watching them.” She smiled, looking almost misty-eyed, and recounted a story of her childhood pet rabbit. She said she hadn’t thought about him in a long time, and seeing our two bunnies recalled that memory from somewhere stored out of sight.

For a few minutes, she wasn’t thinking about her busy schedule, and everything else going on in her adult life. She was just present and connecting to her inner child.

That’s exactly why I do what I do.

These experiences aren’t just about holding a bunny or seeing a reptile up close, they’re about connection. They bring back memories, spark curiosity, and create moments of calm, joy, and even healing. Whether it’s kids meeting animals for the first time, or adults reconnecting with a feeling they haven’t had in years, it’s always meaningful.
