I’ve got a dream…

This barn has been red and white for at least 50 years, and around here it’s kind of become a little small-town icon. So changing it feels like a bigger decision than just picking paint colors.

Swipe through the options and tell me what you think — A, B, C, D, E or F.

And if you’re local and you’ve been driving past this barn for years, I especially want to hear from you.

Meet Haddie & Harvey. 🤎🤍

They started out as bottle calves and somehow became two of the biggest personalities at Carter James Ranch.

Come say hello, grab a picture with them, and see for yourself why these two have earned permanent-resident status around here.

As the story goes, years ago the owners couldn’t decide whether to paint the barn red or white.

So the ranch hand painted it both. ❤️🤍❤️🤍

And somehow, that indecision created one of the most recognizable barns around Paola.

Maybe there’s something to that.

We’re getting closer to restoring this old barn, which leaves us with one bold question:

Would you keep the candy stripes, or paint her red?

And for those of you who have been around Paola awhile, does anyone know how long she’s been red and white? Tell us in the comments.
