It was another great year, and after four rounds of competition, and over 10,000 votes total in just the last two, the winner has been crowned this year!
Thank you to everyone across the state for your support for this program for another outstanding season, we love giving one last round of recognition to the amazing exhibitors who have risen to the top with their steers in the local shows and beyond.
A special shout-out to all of the 49 exhibitors and their steers who took home grand champion titles and participated in this program this year!
What's next? Up first up, state convention! Join us all this weekend to meet Florida's state qualifiers in some of the most competitive FFA competitions around.
The time is coming for swine too though, we promise! Swine of the Season will kick off after convention is over later this June, exact dates and details to come, stay tuned for more info!

The third annual "Steer of the Year" competition is a unique recognition program for youth who have exhibited market steer projects and earned grand champion titles throughout the recent season.
