Pay What You Can Portraits!
You probably saw my stories from a couple weeks ago with a little soft launch on this, buuut… time for hard launch on grid. 🥳

I understand the value and labor associated with creating art, and rightfully so, that often means a higher price. However, the last thing I want is for money to inhibit you from having the portraits that you need and want.
Soo, all individual portrait sessions are now sliding scale, starting at $150.
✨How does this work?
A $150 booking fee invoice will be emailed to you to secure your session on my calendar. Later on when I deliver your photos, an additional invoice for sliding scale payments will be sent to you. Choose your additional amount there. Pay me based on what you can afford and what feels right to you at that time. No questions asked. If you’re a broke college student, pay me a little. If you’re sitting on piles, pay me more. If you’re somewhere in the middle, pay me something in the middle. 😂
This is totally an honor system, please don’t take advantage of me lol 😅 But, I also completely understand if the lower end is all you can do. You will never have to justify your payment amount to me, and I will not think any differently of you based on what you choose. :)
Q: But Mary, how will you make money? what if everyone only pays the $150 and nothing more?
A: If everyone only pays the $150, then you’re right, I probably won’t really make any money. But I’d rather shoot with 10 people at $150, than 3 people at $500. That is so contrary to what any business person will tell you, but I want to meet people, I want to shoot with as many people as I can. I believe art is for everyone, and that money shouldn’t be an inhibitor of that. This is something I am privileged to be able to offer at the moment, and I know that having beautiful portraits can make a huge difference in people’s lives, and that’s what I’m more focused on.
Art is for everyone. 💕
