You know that saying, “Closed mouths don’t get fed”?

Well, I took a chance.

After seeing From First to Last absolutely crush it on Warped Tour, I reached out to Matt Good directly and asked if I could get media access for their LA show.

He said absolutely — and then, on top of that, asked if I’d be willing to shoot their new promo photos.

Without hesitation. No questions about budget. No asking what I’d get in return.

I said YES.

And honestly, I think a lot of people wouldn’t.

They’d sit on it. They’d pass because there wasn’t money involved. But to me, this was an opportunity — something that felt far more valuable than a paycheck.

This is something I’ve honestly wanted to do since I was screaming into a microphone in bands myself.

I think that’s a huge reason I became a photographer in the first place. When I was in the music scene, having my photo taken always fascinated me. I was constantly drawn to the camera, the people behind it, and the way they captured the energy of a show.

Now, years later, I got to pick up that camera and create promo photos for one of my favorite bands.

I’ll never forget that.

And I can’t wait to see these photos show up in magazines, flyers, posters, and wherever else they end up.

Sometimes you just have to take the shot.

A little recap from the From First to Last show at 1720warehouse 🤘

First off, let’s talk about the venue—this place is freaking awesome. Killer sound, a swanky bar (shoutout to Jonny 🍻), and some absolutely insane lighting that made every set look incredible.

Every band brought something unique to the night. sherane11111 came out with nonstop energy, car underwater gave me all the nostalgic old-school emo feels, and Shyeye delivered a polished set with an effortlessly cool vibe.

Overall, it was an incredible night at an amazing venue. I can’t wait to get back and shoot another show here. If you’re into live music, do yourself a favor and add 1720warehouse to your must-visit venues.
