Hanson House Foundation is proud to honor Gerald “Jerry” Keller at our 23rd Annual Gala, An Evening at COPA: Where Rhythm Meets Philanthropy, on October 24, 2026.
Jerry is a visionary publisher, restaurateur, philanthropist, and community leader whose influence can be felt throughout the Coachella Valley. Before entering the hospitality industry, he enjoyed a successful publishing career in New York as president of Keller International Publishing Corp. After relocating to the desert with his late wife, Barbara, Jerry began an extraordinary new chapter as a restaurateur.
In 2011, Jerry founded Lulu California Bistro, which became an immediate success and helped spark the renaissance of downtown Palm Springs. Over the past 15 years, Lulu has welcomed nearly four million guests while supporting tourism, creating local jobs, and contributing to our region's vibrant spirit.
Jerry’s continued support of the Hanson House Foundation has also been instrumental in the success of our annual gala. Each year, he and the talented Lulu’s catering team help us create an exceptional event, bringing their signature hospitality and special touch to every detail. His dedication goes beyond the gala through meaningful partnerships, philanthropy, and a long-term commitment to strengthening Hanson House and organizations throughout our community.
Jerry has supported numerous local nonprofits, including organizations advancing cancer research, the arts, LGBTQ+ causes, and essential community services. His many honors include the Richard M. Milanovich Community Service Award and a star on the Palm Springs Walk of the Stars recognizing him as a visionary, entrepreneur, and community leader.
Please join us in celebrating Gerald “Jerry” Keller—an extraordinary leader whose generosity, hospitality, and commitment continue to make the Coachella Valley a stronger and more compassionate community.
