Vows- We love hearing vows at weddings, it’s our favorite thing. Sharing the love you have for one another in front of friend’s and families is the biggest form of declaration of love.

As much as we love hearing wedding vows, recently we have been seeing more couples read private vows to one another before the ceremony. I may be biased because that is something I will be doing for my marriage but this is a great option for the more private couple.

What do you think, would you prefer reading your vows at ceremony or in a private setting before?

I can’t believe that next month Emerald & May will be turning two! What a wild journey this has been. I can’t believe how much we have grown in such a short time.

We have transitioned from a small picnic company, to social backyard events, to now traveling all over Southern California planning weddings and elopements!

We are working with clients all over the country and it’s just so surreal how this all came to be. I am immensely grateful to be surrounded by a community who supports this boutique company.

The Emerald & May Team- our coordinators, event day assistants, as well as the fiancé’s and boyfriend’s who are the honorary members of the team are the real superstars behind the scenes. ILY 🖤

Meet Angelina, our senior event designer/ coordinator.

Angelina has been with us a little short of 2 years. By the end of this year she will have planned and coordinated 15 weddings

Her favorite event she’s been apart of was the cooper’s wedding weekend! “I loved how they dedicated a whole weekend to celebrating their marriage with their closest family and friends.”

We love her dedication to the team and top notch organization skills. “Emerald & May has been my favorite work space I’ve ever had! I don’t look at it as a job, I look at is as a creative space where I can work with my closest friends to create unforgettable memories for such amazing people: our clients. My passion for event design has only grown and I love that I have the opportunity to work and grow in such a dynamic and fun industry!”

A perfectly curated design doesn’t always need to match. Sometimes we pitch designs to clients that have a variety of color and combination of different materials, but, they tend to stick to all matching decor because it’s what they know and are comfortable with.

A well though out design sparks emotion and feeling. This photo shows how you can mix styles and create a STUNNING design. See how they styled contemporary ghost chairs with European beachwood chairs- two very different styles but yet it’s the perfect combination of classic and modern.
