Black Rock Amphitheater

Black Rock Amphitheater The ‘Āina made an amphitheater in black lava on the Big Island of Hawai'i. We’ve given love and music. It is a fertile community space.

What will we grow there together? This project is part of the Church of Aleva and Banakuma's community outreach. The ‘Āina made an amphitheater in black lava.

The rocks await our songs, and the raw land awaits planting.

This is about showing up for something bigger than ourselves. Join us as we prepare the grounds at Black Rock Amphitheater this Saturday, March 7th.

We’ll work together, tend the land, connect, and help shape the space that will host Flow Fest 2026 .

In exchange for your time and heart, you’ll receive a festival pass.

If earth moving isn’t your thing, there are plenty of other ways to contribute energy to Flow Festival, and to receive a pass in exchange. Please reach out to us if you’d like more info. We have a volunteer application on our website as well. Link in bio.

Reach us at [email protected] if you’d like to be part of it, or just show up this Saturday morning! 🌿

Flow Fest 2026 is less than 6 weeks away! Want to lend a hand and get a pass to the festival? Join us for Land & Community mornings at Black Rock Amphitheater on February 21st and March 7th.

A main point of focus will be filling cracks in the lava for planting. We’ll use rocks, cardboard, mulch, and cinder to turn raw earth into places where plants and community can take root.

Give 7 hours of your time across these two Saturday mornings, and receive a 3-day pass to Flow Fest as a thank-you. Wish to volunteer in some other capacity? Check out the link in Flow Festival and Black Rock Amphitheater's About section to apply as a volunteer or vendor.
