You never really know what kind of adventure you’ll find… until you decide to go.

Yesterday started as a simple shoot at Treasure Falls—but the mountains had other plans. Low snow clung to the peaks, the air sharp with cold, a mix of rain and snow drifting through the canyon.

And then Search & Rescue rolled in.

Two people had climbed up beside the falls and couldn’t make their way back down. Even the most skilled hikers and outdoorsmen- nature reminds you who’s in charge sometimes.

Then the best update: they made it out safely.

Huge respect for our local Search & Rescue teams in Pagosa Springs. They show up when it matters most. If you ever find yourself in over your head, call. That’s what they’re there for—and they’d always rather rescue than recover.
