The misty fog rolled in at the coast, but neither Heather or Jon of them let it take away from the adventure. Instead, they embraced every moment together — laughing through the weather, holding each other close, and creating memories that felt uniquely theirs.

After meeting in pharmacy school, building a home together, and navigating life’s challenges as a team, it’s easy to see that what they have is built on something deeper. Love doesn’t need perfect sunset conditions.

Excited for the wedding! January can’t come soon enough. ❤️

Funny how one introduction can turn into everything 🥹🤍

A mutual friend brought them together… and somehow that turned into weekly trivia nights, constant laughs, and a love that just kept growing ✨

Now it’s three and a half years later, a lifetime of inside jokes, and a wedding day on the way (with their pup right there beside them 🐾💍)

Running around waterfalls and forest trails in the Columbia River Gorge just felt like them — playful, sweet, and completely in sync 🌲💛

We were fully prepared for this to be a “no snow, just vibes” kind of session…
but Mount Hood decided to show up for us 🤝

And honestly, it makes sense.
These two are the kind of couple who would choose snow over sunshine every time.

Sessions like this are my favorite…
when it feels less like a photoshoot and more like just hanging out in a place you love. Congrats Jeremy and Rachel! Can’t wait for the wedding 🥰

A little change of pace for this engagement session ✨

Most of the time I’m photographing couples outdoors here in Oregon, but Madison and Avery wanted to do their session in a studio—and honestly, it was such a fun switch-up.

We spent part of the session capturing sweet moments with their daughter and the rest focusing on the two of them. I love when engagement sessions include the whole family because it makes the photos feel even more meaningful.

Studio sessions may be a little different from my usual PNW landscapes, but it was a great reminder that what matters most isn’t the location—it’s the connection.

Madison and Avery made this session so easy and fun, and I’m really excited for what’s ahead for them. 🤍

These Mckenna and Bear met online and felt the connection almost immediately. After their second date they were officially together, and just a few months later they were already building a life side-by-side.

Their days together are pretty simple in the best way: gaming together (Marvel Rivals, Terraria, Stardew Valley), going on walks, spending time outside, and hanging out with their dog 🐾. One of their earliest dates at the beach is still one of their favorites.

We captured these engagement photos surrounded by the towering trees at Peavy Arboretum, which felt like the perfect quiet backdrop for a story that started with a simple message online and quickly turned into something lasting.

Beatrice and Kevin met years ago around Maupin along the Deschutes River—two lives that kept circling back to the same small town and familiar landscapes. Over the last 17 years they’ve built a relationship grounded in patience, family, and quiet commitment.

For Beatrice, family has always come first. She spends much of her time caring for her 90-year-old mother, and bringing the people she loves together means everything. Kevin has spent years working in Alaska, supporting family from afar, but distance never changed where his heart was.

Soon they’ll gather back where it all began, along the river near Maupin, for a simple ceremony surrounded by children and grandchildren traveling in from Texas. Kevin’s first wedding. A full-circle moment for two people whose lives have always been connected to this landscape.

Their engagement session overlooking the Columbia River Gorge felt like the perfect place to celebrate a story that started here long ago.

Some love stories don’t rush — they grow.

And those are often the strongest ones.

Some love stories don’t need a perfect spring bloom to feel magical.

Jennifer & Tyler made the trip from Lincoln City to spend the evening in Portland, and Peninsula Park gave us something different — quiet paths, bare trees, and a mood that let their connection take center stage.

What I love about engagement sessions is that they don’t have to look one specific way. Bright and airy, bold and dramatic, playful, romantic — it’s all about what feels like you.

These two leaned into the season, the atmosphere, and just enjoyed the moment together.

And honestly? That’s always what makes the photos work. 🖤 # PortlandPhotographer

After so much time pouring into family and everyday life, these two finally carved out a moment for themselves—and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Incredible chemistry, nonstop laughter, and that effortless kind of love that makes my job easy.

This is your reminder: you don’t need a special occasion to celebrate your love—sometimes you just need a weekend away and a little adventure 🤍

Rimma + Will said “I do” at the Multnomah County Courthouse, and Portland decided to show off for them. For a February day, we couldn’t have asked for better weather – sunshine, crisp air, and that perfect golden light bouncing through the city streets.

After their ceremony we wandered downtown together, laughing, exploring, and capturing these sweet newlywed moments. And I finally checked something off my photographer bucket list: portraits in front of the iconic Portland Theater sign 🤍

Days like this remind me why I love what I do – real couples, real moments, and a city that makes the perfect backdrop.

Planning a courthouse or intimate wedding? I’d love to capture your story next.

Katelyn & Josh started this session a little shy… and then something clicked 🥹
Once they forgot about the camera and focused on each other, the real magic showed up. Quiet moments, soft laughs, and Mt. Hood doing what it does best 🤍⛰
