We had this 2001 Lotus kit car come in with a running issue — it just wasn’t performing the way a Hayabusa-powered car should.

We installed a new cam and had our apprentice handle the valve gapping. After a few tries, he got them dialed in perfectly!

With the new cam in place, the engine is now running much better. All that’s left is to get it on the dyno for some real numbers, and hopefully she’ll be ready to head home!

The owner of this ’04 Ford Mustang brought it in for a no-start issue. Once we got the car running, we discovered it wasn’t holding oil pressure at operating temperature.

With the owner’s approval, we removed the engine and tore down the bottom end to investigate the cause. We found the piston rod bearings were out of spec by just .0001". The owner opted for new bearings, and we’ll be installing them to see if this resolves the oil pressure issue.
