A little bit of normalcy is returning to the flower shop. 💗

After a long few days following Hurricane Isaias, we’re working on getting Hummingbirds back up and running!

We’ve been busy cleaning, reorganizing, and getting everything ready for fresh flowers to fill our cooler again. It feels good to see things slowly coming back together.

Our team is still juggling cleanup and recovery at home, so things may look a little different around here for a few days. But we’re grateful to be back in the shop and doing what we love.

Thank you for all the kind messages, patience, and support. We hope everyone in our community is doing okay, and we’re looking forward to seeing your familiar faces again soon.

We’ll continue sharing updates as fresh flowers arrive and normal services resume.

A little update from Hummingbirds 💗

We will remain closed today, Monday, October 12, as we work on cleaning up and recovering from Hurricane Isaias.

We’re incredibly thankful that our building made it through the storm without damage. Unfortunately, we weren’t as lucky with our fresh flower inventory, and we’ve lost all of our product.

We’re hoping to receive a fresh shipment of flowers on Tuesday, but that will depend on whether our wholesalers have power and are able to resume deliveries. We’ll keep everyone updated as we know more about when we can return to normal operations.

Our team is also still dealing with the aftermath of the storm at their own homes and taking care of their families. As we begin reopening, we may be operating with a smaller crew than usual, so we appreciate your patience and understanding as we all work to get our lives back to normal.

On a brighter note, we may have some flowers that are still in good enough condition to enjoy, and rather than let them go to waste, we’re hoping to share them with our community! Keep an eye on our social media today and tomorrow for a possible flower giveaway.

We’re grateful to have a shop to return to, and our thoughts are with everyone in our community who wasn’t as fortunate. Thank you for your continued kindness and support as we get back on our feet.

A little update from Hummingbirds 💗

With Hurricane Isaias approaching, we’ve made the decision to close the flower shop on Friday, October 9, and Saturday, October 10. We’re planning to reopen on Monday, October 12, as long as conditions allow.

This certainly isn’t how we imagined one of our busiest wedding and Homecoming weekends unfolding! Our team has been working hard behind the scenes to adjust plans, coordinate flowers, and help our customers navigate a lot of last-minute changes.

To our wedding couples, we know this isn’t the weekend you envisioned. You have made some tough decisions, but we were happy to make those accommodations where possible. We appreciate the kindness and flexibility everyone has shown us.

We’re also grateful for our hardworking team and the many local vendors who have been pulling together to make the best of a difficult situation.

For now, we’re putting the flowers aside and focusing on what matters most—keeping our families, team, and community safe.

Take care of yourselves and each other. We’ll see you back at the flower shop as soon as we can!
