Well, the time has come and our last event has gone. A three-year chapter is coming to a close.
This last wedding was such a treat to host for a local gal and her beau who went to high school with Lauren, and to say we are full of emotions is an understatement.
We will not be booking anymore events at this time. It’s hard to believe that we’re here. In a lot of ways, we are relieved to be moving onto our next chapter, but it is so bittersweet to think of not being as plugged into our community with some of the most precious memories of our clients’ lives. The Orpheum was quite a ride for us and we cannot wait to see what the future holds for this special slice of art deco history, which building owner, Stuart Paynter, restored so beautifully for our city. The design of the space and how well it looks is all credit to Stuart’s vision, CH Architects, hmwPreservation, and Charles Wood Builder and won the 2021 Award of Merit in the NC Main Street Design Awards category for Best Historic Rehabilitation Project. Oxford has changed and grown so much the last decade, but particularly the last few years since The Orpheum opened its doors.
We want to encourage you to reach out to all of the local venues and vendors as well as booking with The Orpheum very soon. Our county has a lot to offer for your event rentals!
We have to give a few more special shoutouts to several local vendors as well that have always helped us when we needed them, including Unique Rentals and Florals, For Your Occasion Rentals, Bobo’s Formalwear, Big Foot BBQ, the Cranky Chef, Cakes by Triston, Rolula James, Strong Arm Bakery, Photography by Gerri Anna, Tova Yvents, Days Inn of Oxford, Aesthetics by Shannon, and Stephanie Garrett AIFD Floral Design. We have relied so heavily on them when we were in a pinch or had clients requesting referrals. These amazing connections are the reason we’ve been able to do what we’ve done the last few years, and we couldn’t have done it without, y’all. The wedding industry, particularly the wedding venue world, takes a village, so thank you, thank you, thank you to all of the beautiful people in our village. You are seen and appreciated 🙏🏼

And last but not least, to our fantastic clients - you are the reason we wake up and grind to do this every day. You have made all of the room flips, late nights, early mornings, blood, sweat and tears so rewarding. Thank you for letting us be a part of your love stories, birthday celebrations, class reunions, galas, anniversaries, graduation parties, showers, proms and more! It’s been such an honor, truly.
