For myself and many other venues, it’s been the slowest engagement season we’ve ever had mainly due to restrictive changes in Wisconsin law that started January 1. It’s costing wedding couples more money and taking away their choices and it’s just not right. BUT- good news- SB850 was introduced today! Passage would keep the important safety provisions of the new law, it would give you back the ability to hold your private party in the place of your choice, and it would help save our beautiful unique little venues across Wisconsin from needing to close their doors. A win for rural communities, a win for consumers, and a win for farmers simply trying to diversify their income and hang on to their land You can help! Contact your legislators to tell them you want them to support SB850. Time is so very short to get this done. Let’s not let special interest groups use their power to take away your choices!
