From Memoir to Movement with Dana Tai Soon Burgess, author, dancer and choreographer – an interview with Maggie Andersen

OCC proudly welcomes Dana Tai Soon Burgess, the Smithsonian Institution’s first Choreographer-in-Residence and a U.S. State Department Global Cultural Ambassador. Known as the “Diplomat of Dance,” Burgess and members of his acclaimed company will present an engaging evening of modern dance, literature, and history. The Washington Post has called him “not only a Washington prize, but a national dance treasure.” The evening will conclude with a book signing, Q&A with Burgess and the company. This program is supported in part by Talbot Arts, with funding from the Maryland State Arts Council.

General admission tickets are $40. VIP tickets are $80 and include a signed book and post-performance reception with Burgess. Tickets are available at oxfordcc.org.

Doors open at 5:30 PM.
