Hi, flower friends!! If you are on this page, chances are you've been a part of my flower journey for a while now - from weddings in Kentucky, then New York City, then back again, and then the flower truck! Well, the latest home for my flower endeavors is a brick and mortar flower and gift shop in Owensboro, Kentucky! This has been a dream of mine for many years and I am so excited to be living it out now every day. Hi!🧡My name is Meagan, and I’m the gal behind Meadow House. It’s been a whirlwind few years for me, and this business, so I thought I’d share the cliff notes version in case you’re wondering who/what/where Meadow House is these days 😂
- I started MH in Lexington, Kentucky, and then moved to NYC less than a year later. 🍎
- While in NYC, MH took a back seat for a few years as I built a New York based floral biz with a dear friend, freelanced for some amazing florists, worked on a flower truck and in a few shops, and much more.
- Then, I felt it was time to give MH room to grow. I signed a short-term lease for a studio space in NYC, and dreamed big dreams. LOL.
- Almost immediately after signing the lease, I found out I was pregnant with TWINS! Crazy! This changed everything and sent my husband and I on a path to return to our old Kentucky home. 🐎
- Our baby girls were born early this year and we’ve now settled down in Western Kentucky near my family.
- And now, I’m excited to bring Meadow House back to life, slowly but surely, as I am adjusting to life back in Kentucky, motherhood, and then also a pandemic (?!). It’ll be a little different than before...as we all are! 💛Thanks for following along on this adventure!

Fun fact—when I was getting married, I didn't book my wedding florist until just one month before the big day! (*cue a collective gasp from the florists of the world*) Why did I do that?! I felt so confused on what different florists offered, I didn't understand their pricing, and I just was overwhelmed.
It's funny looking back on that now! Everything turned out beautifully on my wedding day, but we could have done without that last-minute stress.
