CURRENTLY OPEN BY APPOINTMENT ONLY - Check back for open hours starting this fall! Golden Seam Bridal is more than a bridal shop, it's an experience. Set in the historic town of Owego, Golden Seam offers the designer experience with a small town feel. We welcome clients for all occasions, offering a warm and positive shopping experience for all bodies. We know that planning for big events can be stressful, and we hope that all of our appointments can check one thing off the list for our clients. This shop is a dream come true for me, the owner of Golden Seam. I can't wait to share the behind-the-scenes of each special event with my clients and help them feel their best. It’s been a full season of love over here, so much so that we only have TWO weekend openings left this month! 🤍

If you’ve called me, you’ve probably heard me say “I’m pretty flexible”, “we can do pretty much whenever”. BUT, I’m so fortunate to say that’s not the case this October… because you’ve nearly filled my books!

This is the type of post I dreamed about making when I opened Golden Seam two summers ago. I feel so lucky to spend my weekends meeting you, hearing your love stories, and being part of this season of your lives. Thank you for trusting me, telling your friends about me, and making my dream possible!

With everything happening in our community surrounding Cornell right now, I’ve been thinking a lot about something that feels important to say…

Before Golden Seam, I worked in social work, and part of that work included supporting people who had experienced sexual trauma.

I want all clients who come into my shop to know that I understand that getting dressed, being looked at, having your body discussed, or trying on clothes can be a lot on its own. And that becomes all the more complicated after trauma.

Body image and our relationship with our bodies can be deeply affected by experiences like sexual assault, and you never have to explain yourself to me.

At Golden Seam, you are in control of your appointment. You can take your time. You can change your mind. You decide what you’re comfortable with, and I am happy to arrange accommodations.

This is a safe space. And I mean that in more ways than just being able to find a dress. 🤍
