PAPA LOU'S PASTA TUESDAY BEGINS TONIGHT 🍝

Papa Lou loved pasta, and he loved a full family table even more. So starting tonight, every Tuesday at dinner is Papa Lou's Pasta Tuesday.

Four courses for $12.95:
Pick your pasta.
Pick your sauce.
Add a topper if you want one ($15.95).
Pick your dessert.

Every plate comes with house salad and our garlic bread. The sauces are made from scratch from the recipes Lou grew up on, the ones his father Angelo brought from Italy.

Bring your people, and save a little while you're at it. What combo are you trying first?

On October 2, 1920, a 15-year-old named Angelo Aloisio came through Ellis Island. His family had left a small village in Abruzzo, and he brought their recipes with him.

He worked his way up to executive chef and passed everything he knew to his son, Lou. When Lou opened Mondo's in 1969, Angelo came to Tulsa and spent about a month in that first kitchen, teaching the cooks to make the food the way his family always had. His handwritten recipe cards are still what we cook from.

On October 2, 2020, exactly 100 years later, Angelo's grandson Rob signed the papers on the land where Mondo's stands today.

Some things haven't changed since Angelo's day. Every week, Rob still mixes the family's secret spices himself for our sauces, dressings and soups. Our pasta comes from Italy. A meal at Mondo's tastes homemade because it is, made from the same recipes and with the same care this family has put into them for generations.
