There’s something a little magical about the Ovid Inn. ✨

We’re always hunting for antique and vintage pieces that give this private hotel its own personality. From ornate furniture and vintage lamps to beautiful mirrors and chandeliers, every little detail adds to that quaint, old-world feeling.

It’s cozy. It’s moody. It’s a little whimsical. And honestly… it feels a little like stepping into a fairytale. 🕯️🤎

It feels like somewhere you’ve discovered, not somewhere that could be anywhere.

Okay, you guys showed up for us with the bakery recommendations… now we need food recommendations!

There’s something about experiencing this place in person… the vintage charm, the space, the amenities, and most importantly, having your whole group together under one roof.

A little Ovid Inn history we just discovered…

We came across this incredible old photo of our building, and we had no idea it was once home to E.A. Marshall Hardware!

And now we have photographic proof that our main level’s original 14-foot ceilings have been here all along.

But can we talk about those WINDOWS?! 😍 Look at the original storefront!

It makes us wonder… are those beautiful windows still hiding underneath the more modern facade? 👀

There’s something pretty special about being surrounded by pieces of a building’s history. The Ovid Inn has changed over the years, but so much of its original character is still here! Along with loving the original character, we’re loving discovering more of its story!

Does anyone remember E.A. Marshall Hardware, or have family stories/photos from when this building was a hardware store? We’d love to learn more about its history! ❤️

We’re creating a space unlike anything else at the Ovid Inn. 🖤

The Chapel Lounge will offer an intimate, one of a kind setting for smaller/intimate wedding ceremonies, vow renewals, and special celebrations. Of course it will have all the character and charm you’ve come to love about the Ovid Inn.

And when you’re not saying “I do,” the space can transform into a private theater and presentation lounge, complete with our large presentation screen. 🎬✨

One space. So many possibilities.

THE COUCH FOUGHT BACK.

This bruise is what happens when a vintage couch doesn’t fit up the stairs… and you decide the next logical option is to shove it up an 1800s elevator shaft.

We wedged the couch into the cavernous space alongside the elevator, opened up the floorboards and somehow wrestled the entire thing through the opening.

It was ridiculous. It was mildly dangerous. It completely worked.
