Many people are surprised when they see our building from the outside, versus our rooms on the inside. From the outside, our building is any other multi-tenant corporate building- nothing special. And we couldn’t agree more- it’s an old building, built in the 1970’s with quirks, which is right up our alley. Someone once told us, “It looks a bit like a prison from the outside, but once you’re inside it has a whole different feel!” Training Umbrella loves combining vintage with modern, it’s what makes us stand apart from other companies.

Training Umbrella is known for larger scale classes and events, but to some’s surprise, we do also have smaller, private rooms! If you’re needing a room for a quick one-on-one, or team brainstorming- we have the space! Training Umbrella has a total of 3 conference rooms, and just like when renting our larger classrooms, our conference rooms also include all of our normal amenities like- free Wi-Fi, complimentary beverages and break area items, IT support and more!

All three of these conference rooms are on the first floor and easily accessible without having to get on an elevator. We’ve made it flexible so that you can come and go as you please.

Christy and I had a great time at the New House Gala this year. Every year hearing these women's stories is always a testament that we have more work in our community to do. If your in an abusive relationship, I'm here to tell you it's unacceptable, reach out and ask for help. There is no grey area here and it's not your fault. - Oh and the photo booth box was very cool!

Being named Most Wanted Honoree with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kansas City (BBBSKC) has been a wonderful experience. It has given us the opportunity to interact with people in the community that really care and are making a difference in the lives of kids in my hometown.

What does it mean to be an Honoree? We pledge to connect with our network to raise awareness and funds that go towards the programs and operations of BBBSKC. At the time I am writing this article, there are currently 997 matches and 194 kids waiting for a Big.

What to expect for Open Play:
Enjoy two hours of open play with 1-2 table rotations to meet new friends. Experience Required. Guidance may be available as needed, but no formal lesson will be provided.

What to expect for Want to Learn:
We are honored to have Lauren Sinovic from Kansas City Mahjong teach eight lucky people how to play Mahjong, American style. No Experience Required.
She will bring all materials needed for you to learn how to play the game.
