Another successful ASIS Physical Security Technology Showcase and Awards Ceremony. We were treated to a keynote from Eddie Sorrells, the 71st president of ASIS International, great breakout sessions, meals, snacks, door prizes, and knowledgeable vendors sharing the latest in security technology. It was great seeing friends and making new friends!

With the upcoming World Cup in Kansas City, pickpockets and other criminals will also be in the area. Sporting KC had me share at two customized presentations on how to reduce the risk of becoming a victim. My presentations focused on travel safety, pickpocket prevention, identity theft, and prevalent scams. I was able to "borrow" a few wallets, credit cards, keys, and purses from unsuspecting helpers and share insights on how to protect against becoming a victim. Thanks to all of my volunteers for helping to illustrate the messages.

Great evening and atmosphere at the MPI monthly meetup event held at Three Points. I had the opportunity to catch up with friends, meet new ones, and even share a few card tricks and borrow a few watches, phones, and purses. I always look forward to these events. A big shout-out to Robert Riesmeyer for introducing me to MPI and so many wonderful people.
