Wedding Wednesday!!

There were so many special moments and details from our wedding day that I loved SO much!! I mean I am a wedding planner at heart so I get giddy about the details. But when it comes together what matters most is the people who surround you and most importantly the one you’re marrying. Having time throughout the day to take small moments to breathe and take it all in is so important.

We loved spending the morning with our wedding party!

Our first look was a special time for just us, to share our thoughts with one another and anchor ourselves to what the day was about.

We attended cocktail hour which gave us a chance to connect with our guests! (We also kept our guest list small and we got to talk to almost everyone day of because of that)

Sunset photos were another time to sneak away from the excitement and have a few moments (almost alone)

We did a welcome party the night before so we could talk to people then and enjoy our dance floor at the wedding.

One of my favorite moments was the private last dance. Finishing the night slow dancing in the middle of our venue is such a special memory.

When it comes down it your day is about making memories with your people and each other that will last a lifetime.

Wedding Wednesday!!

Reception design 🧡💛🩷🩵

I knew I wanted bright and bold colors to be the focal point of the day! Beautiful flowers yes, but not letting those be the only color in the space. We also incorporated bright candles, colored glasses and my favorite the floral napkins. I also loved the touch of pink orange and yellow linens for the cocktail hour.

I’ve worked in this space a lot and I knew I wanted to mix up the layout. We had circle tables pushed together to create long tables as well as had some typical 8 ft tables as well. The head table was my favorite part as it was serpentine tables creating a fun focal point at the front of the room. I did this in front of the windows rather than the fireplace and had the dance floor right in front of it.

Wedding Wednesday!!

When we talked about our wedding day I knew my pup Gracie had to be a part of it! She'd been with me through it all and she needed to be there for this too. When Zach and I were "just friends" we were out on a patio with some friends and Gracie jumped in his arms and fell asleep... she loves people but that was a lot even for her. Safe to say they were best buds from the beginning and Gracie was so glad to finally be getting a dad.

We had a friend bring to her the venue at the end of photos so we could get a few with her before the ceremony.

Gracie had her own special entrance during the ceremony. We actually had her walk down after me so that we both would be there to greet her. Our officiant had everyone sit and then said "wait are we missing anyone who is supposed to be here?" cue Gracie's song and she made her way down the aisle.

We had someone take her home after the ceremony as it was hot and she's a velcro dog so not being right by us was not it for her.

Forever thankful for these photos and that our girl got to be a part of the day!

Wedding Wednesday (a little early)

We got ready that day at a place that means so much to us. It’s where we met, became friends, it’s where we decided maybe we wanted more than just friendship. It’s where we spent every Monday night growing together in our relationship with the Lord and our community. It’s where it all started so it just made sense to start out forever there too.

We had a very chill morning, the guys made breakfast, and we enjoyed time with our people before everything got started. We did our first look, read our vows and did some photos before heading off to the venue.
