I'm headed to Venice this November for my second year attending Amour — an industry forum that brings together some of the world’s most exceptional luxury properties, venues, and hospitality brands within the wedding industry.

For me, this experience is more than just networking. It’s part of how I continue discovering destinations that feel immersive, meaningful, and worthy of the couples who trust me with such an important chapter of their lives.

There’s something about layered details that elevate the entire feeling of a wedding reception space. These coral linens, rose gold accents, warm gold flatware, and wildflower inspired florals worked together to create a wedding tablescape that felt refined without losing its sense of ease.

Even the smallest elements were intentional in this mountain wedding tablescape.

From the delicate stationary and custom wine charms.

To the airy and deeply personal seating display.

Even the gold framed table numbers had a personal element that gave insight into the couple’s unique love story.

The design created an atmosphere that felt grounded yet wildly romantic.

Several elements created conversation like the beautiful wine charm keepsake that also played a genius roll in indicating personal water goblets once dinner concluded.

This kind of design I love the most! It’s thoughtful, cohesive, and deeply personal without feeling forced or over produced.

Next week I’ll be in Switzerland 🇨🇭 visiting a collection of lakeside and mountain wedding venues throughout Ascona as part of a hosted familiarization experience.

Today is World Cocktail Day — a celebration marking the first published definition of the “cocktail” back in 1806.

There are many settings where a cocktail can be enjoyed, but I’m partial to the mountains. An old fashioned poured at a distillery tucked into the Rockies. Signature drinks shared on a deck beneath snow-covered peaks. The clinking of coupe glasses after a perfectly delivered toast. Guests wrapped in blankets with something warm in hand as the sun disappears behind the mountains.

Cocktails are more than the drink itself. They create atmosphere, conversation, and a sense of experience tied to a place and moment in time.

So here’s to the kind of celebrations that invite you to slow down, settle in, and raise a glass fully immersed in the moment.

What if the most unforgettable detail of your wedding wasn’t inside the tent, but just beyond it?

A reception set beneath opaque canvas, a zigzag of market lights and strands of bunting, and cascades of greenery certainly created an atmosphere worthy of a love story. But it was the mountain range outside that truly elevated the celebration.

Guests looked up from dinner to sweeping peaks, shifting light, and the kind of view that makes everyone pause. A reminder that when you choose a setting with presence, the landscape becomes part of the experience itself.

This is the beauty of choosing a setting that lets the landscape do what no décor ever could.
