Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes! I’m writing this while in bed, not cause I drank too much today, but due to getting sick. I really do appreciate everyone thinking of me today. We will get together and celebrate this guy being 40. I’m sure there’s grammar errors in this post, if I haven’t learned punctuation by now I’m pretty sure I won’t ever.

With all the uncertainty that surrounds us, I have decided to not accept any new events for the remainder of 2020 and first quarter 2021. Any event that is scheduled as of today I will dj.
I have made this decision to protect my loved ones and hope everyone remains safe. The risk is not worth it for me and my family.
I truly appreciate the messages and calls requesting service, this is not easy and I love to entertain. To all the skinnymaniacs out there be safe.

As CEO of Dj Skinny’s Dj Service I want to assure you that in this time of uncertainty, the safety of my customers and the importance of having amazing parties is my top priority.

Due to the recent coronavirus (COVID-19) situation I am implementing the following safety protocol. I will provide hand sanitizer to the groom prior to the removal of the garter. Before the bride throws her flower bouquet to all the single ladies we will spray it with Lysol. I will also offer our clients the option to reduce or eliminate slow songs at their event to prevent being so close to one another.

At this time I will not be cancelling any scheduled events.

OTTUMWA — Some of the best memories of middle school and high school were the dances. They were times to hang out with friends and listen to the latest music without having to be in someone's house.

Middle School Dance this Friday at Club 531

The first official dance of Dj Skinny Dj Services being the owner of Club 531 will be December 4th. Grades 6th 7th and 8th dance from 7-9pm. SPECIAL PRICE $3.00....yes $3.00.
Most of the rules are the same but let's review:
-No outside drinks or food
-All bags and purses will be looked in and must be checked the entire time of the dance.
-If you leave you can not re enter
-Fighting is ZERO TOLERANCE anyone involved in any type of a fight will be banned forever
-Any disrespect to staff or building will be kicked out and possibly banned forever
-We will continue to use metal detectors before entering the building
-We have also added 8 more security cameras with dvr

I posted this on my Dj Skinny page in hopes parents will see this post. I am the new owner and operator of Club 531. I have heard rumors of things that went on there that have not happened. As a new parent I know your kids are the most important thing and you want them to be safe. Please help me create an establishment for them that is safe and also fun for them. I almost changed the name from Club 531 to something less adult themed but decided not to. I still may in the future if necessary but I feel it is not. Parents you are more than welcome to chaperon, but if you do plan to chaperon more than one night I will have to have a background check completed per my insurance.
