✨️ Cool, calm, and climate-controlled, because comfort is always in season at Timber & Tula ✨️

When I got married years ago, in an old barn in Illinois on a hot and humid summer day, there was no HVAC system at the venue. My grandmother was in her 80's struggling with dementia and in a wheelchair and my disabled niece was just 2 years old and had trouble regulating her body temperature. There was nowhere for them to go and cool down, and that devastated me. When we started restoring our historic barn I knew we wouldn't have an HVAC system either, so having lots of air flow, shade, ventilation, and painting the metal roof white with a reflective coating to lower the temperature were all extremely important and thought out solutions. However, I knew that wouldn't be enough. So I've created the family room in honor of my grandmother, June. A beautiful space that is climate controlled, with comfortable sitting, warm lighting, a coffee bar, a kids area, a mini fridge stocked with cold water, a soft rug and stunning view! If you're feeling overheated, overstimulated, or over tired, you have a cool place to take a break. A place where grandma can drink a cup of coffee while she sits with her sleeping grandchild, chats with family or just take a moment to rest.

Making your wedding the most comfortable and enchanting weekend of your life is our top priority at Timber and Tula 🤍

Unfortunately, I ran into an issue that caused me to lose the last 5 years of photos. We are diligently working to restore and save them! We don't have an exact time frame, but know there will be lots of exciting updates soon!

✨️ Privacy fence and perfect photos ✨️

Our 200 year old pecan trees make the perfect backdrop for outdoor wedding ceremonies! We added in our first stretch of privacy fence along with planting an entire row of snowball viburnums to ensure the space is as private and romantic as possible 🤍

The roof is getting it's second coat of reflective paint!

Bright, white, crisp, and clean! This will lower the temperature of the metal by up to 80° which translates to cooler temperatures inside the barn for our beautiful brides and their guests. 🍾

We were originally going to section off part of the barn for that, however, we couldn't envision giving up any of the beautiful open concept space, so we just added on!
