“To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow.” — Audrey Hepburn

There’s something extra special about this time of year. The garden is still giving us beautiful flowers, but I’m also beginning to gather little pieces of next spring.

These are some of the flowers I’m saving seeds from this year. It feels like such a small thing, but each one holds the possibility of an entire garden.

I think that’s one of my favorite things about growing flowers: even as this season is winding down, there is already a new one waiting to begin.
