I wasn’t ready for how official everything looked. The folder, the seal, my friends names printed all fancy… it’s giving “I did that.” 😌💁‍♀️

Mermaid season has officially come to a close, and my heart is overflowing like a treasure chest! 🧜‍♀️💙 Thank you to every splash maker, every tiny guppy, every event, and every magical moment that made this season unforgettable. ✨But don’t swim too far… a new announcement is bubbling up soon! 👀

This weekend… my heart is overflowing. 💙

After four years of hard work, sleepless nights, and endless planning, it all came together in the most magical way. Watching this dream come to life was nothing short of surreal. Seeing all your photos, your kind words, and your joyful faces has me in tears all over again.

To every volunteer, sponsor, performer, vendor, and supporter — thank you. This festival wouldn’t exist without you. Your belief in this vision means more than I can express.

And then… while we were lining up for the Guinness World Record count, I found out my little sister Bekah was number 458 — the one who officially broke the record. Cue the tears. 💦 I’ll never forget Chloe looking me in the eyes and telling me the number.

But the waterworks didn’t stop there… because moments later, my boyfriend got down on one knee. Surrounded by friends, mermaids, and magic, I said YES. 💍 (And yes, we absolutely had to do a second engagement shoot in front of the MEGA Tank. 🧜‍♀️)

This weekend was more than a festival. It was a dream realized. A record broken. A love story sealed. A memory etched into my heart forever.

Next year? Bigger. Bolder. Even more magical. 🧜‍♂️🏴‍☠️✨

Hi humans! I’m Oceanic, your friendly freshwater mermaid from Lake Huron, and I’ll be splashing into the DeBest MEGA Tank at the Pirates & Mermaids Festival!

I’ve swum all the way here (with my sturgeon sidekick Larry, of course) just to meet you!
I’ll be sharing stories from my underwater world—like how I turn human trash into sea-sational art, what it’s like to breathe water instead of air, and why I’m completely fascinated by your legs (seriously… those things can JUMP).

💃 So bring your best dance moves and show off your fin-free footwork—I love getting little guppies moving!
