It is with very heavy hearts we come to you with news that our beloved and long time track announcer Roger Woodruff has passed away. Our hearts are with his children Dina and Michael, and his long time companion Vicki. Roger is an Osceola Dragway legend, and one of the biggest reasons we are known as "the friendliest dragstrip in the world!" 

Ruth stated "Roger was truly one of a kind. He was a big part of our track. He loved this track and all the people who came with it. I could not have gone on with the racing as long as I did without him. He is one of my dearest friends and I will miss him."

The following statement was released by Roger's children:

We are very sad to have to say that our father, Roger Woodruff, passed away Wednesday evening. He fought a long and hard health battle over the last couple of years and we are thankful for all the time that we had. It helps to know that he is no longer in pain or suffering. We will be planning a celebration of life at a later date. Please give us this time to process and to plan, and respect our privacy. We know that he was loved by many, and we want to plan a time when we can all share those wonderful memories and cherish the man that he was. We love you all and thank you for being a part of our lives.

The family is requesting you share any photos you may have with Roger at the track. They would love to share them at his memorial. Feel free to post in the comments your photos or memories.

Good to see our guys are still out there being awesome!! Long time Osceola Dragway driver Dave Porphir featured at Bunker Hill Dragstrip!

This week’s Stars of the Strip presented by Tub O' Towels introduces you to All Seasons General Contracting, LLC Sportsman racer from Coloma, MI, Dave Porphir.
Dave grew up playing with Hotwheels and had parents he describes as gear heads. His mom road a motorcycle and both his dad & step dad had hot rods.
He has been racing since 1978 and on his first time out at a track racing, he left with a trophy. He was hooked!
Dave’s crew consists of Gary Kluts, Gene Hoeckelberg, and occasionally he races with his daughter Angie. His racing accomplishments include 3 Wally’s & 2 Ironman trophies from Osceola Dragway & a 2013 Modified Championship.
When he’s not racing, you can find Dave working in home repairs, gardening, or making trips to the casino.

Hey race fans! You may recognize Stephanie & Jason (Buzz) Ditto, they are an important staple in our OC Boyz racers! Stephanie has recently been diagnosed with a very serious form of cancer. We want to show our support as a racing community for Steph! If you are able to give, please do! If you aren't able to donate, please consider lifting their family up in prayer and sending good vibes and positivity their way!
There will also be a benefit hosted by friends on October 5th, 2024 at 55956 Channel View Drive, Elkhart IN. They will be hosting a live band, pulled pork dinner, beer, a cash bar and an auction of items with 100 percent of proceeds going to the Ditto family!

Steph- you are so loved by so many! Stay in the fight and know your racing family is here for you, Jason and Taylor if you need us!

Everyone is invited to the Osceola Dragway reunion banquet on February 17th at 7 pm. The banquet will be hosted at the Edwardsburg American Legion, 25751 US-12, Edwardsburg MI 49112.

Who's invited? Everyone!! (Kids are welcome as well)
If you feel compelled, please bring an appetizer, finger food or desert to pass. There will be a cash bar to!
