Nobody could EVER convince me that we don't have the absolute best customers EVER!!!
The entire crew was surprised with Buddy's Pizza for lunch by one, we were gifted an awesome sign that another customer made for us, and a third brought in some frozen drinks for the "kids" working on this beautiful hot day!
You all constantly blow our minds. I don't think this happens most places. Thank You so much from all of us 🥰

Southern Greens this weekend!! 😋

This weekend, by MANY requests, I am making Southern Greens!
I like to use a mixture for a more vibrant balance of flavor (collard, kale, mustard, & turnip greens).
In place of ham hocks, bacon, or a turkey leg, I opt for the king of it all: the Ham Bone 🌟
There is nothing that can compare to the flavor provided by a ham bone!
For these large batches, I'm going in with a whole house-smoked ham, onion, and tons of fresh garlic 😋
This dish cooks down for HOURS to produce something really special.
Available all weekend until it's gone!

Tonight we were able to get away from cooking for a little while to grab some dinner. Our local go-to is the gem that is O'Malley's Galley, right here in Oville!
Aside from us, they are the only "from-scratch" kitchen in our town that we know of. Literally everything is great! The seafood is always fresh and paired with great accompaniments. The soup/salad bar hits home every time, and desserts are made with so much love. And it's obvious why they are voted "Best Fish & Chips" in Oakland County!
Tonight we shared Oysters on the Half Shell, Kory got Fish & Chips, and I had Crab Cakes. We were too full for dessert, but it was tempting!
Margaret was wonderful and tended to everything that we clould ask for. We got a lovely surprise visit at our table from Michelle O'Malley and got to catch up briefly.
If you haven't been there, you are missing out on something special.

This weekend we are making our Jumbo Loaded Taters!! They are 3 pounds of insane!
HUGE baked potatoes are split, salted, & buttered. Then we fill it with a freshly grated cheddar/jack blend that immediately starts to melt from the heat of the potato. Next we add our signature pit beans, chopped crispy bacon, & our house-made pickled jalapeños. It's finished off with our homemade Sweet Suzy BBQ Sauce, a generous amount of sour cream, and green onion.
It's a filling delicious meal on its own, but most people choose to add their choice of juicy meat piled on top 😋
