After 12 amazing years, it is bittersweet to announce that I am officially closing 💓💖✨

I made this decision knowing that my business could have kept on growing even more than it did during the last few years, but It is time to hang up my entrepreneur hat so that I can focus on a new and exciting life change for me and my family.

This little biz of mine was one of THE BEST adventures I have ever embarked on and it will always have a special place in my heart.

Let's face it, addressing envelopes can become stressful if you aren't use to doing it all the time. What's the proper etiquette? Will I offend my guests?

Here's a few easy tips to remember and why having a stationer can help you navigate the tricky manners of addressing your wedding invitations!

For married guests, there a few variations:

Opposite S*x Marriages:

Mr. and Mrs. John Smith

Same S*x Marriages with shared last name:

Mr. James Smith and Mr. John Smith

Marriages with different last name:

Mrs. Jane Doe and Mrs. Jenny Smith or Mr. John Smith and Mrs. Jane Doe

For guests who are not married:

If you know both names, use both of their names.

Mr. John Smith and Ms. Jane Doe

However, if you do not know your the name of your guest’s significant other, include the words & guest:

Mr. John Smith and Guest or Ms. Jane Doe and Guest

For guests where the family is included (i.e. the children) You will add the children’s first names only on the second line from oldest to youngest.

Mr. and Mrs. John Smith
Jack, Jenny & Jane

If you talk to anyone in the wedding industry, they will all agree that 2022 has been extra busy and 2023 is already going to be crazy. Love is in the air and I am here 👏 for 👏 it 👏

We are already booking weddings, for next year and depending on whether you want custom or semi custom you will have to book by a certain date to ensure there’s enough time and we're not rushing through things. If you’re newly engaged and looking into 2023, you really should try and make decisions soon so you can get all your first choices!

Remember to allow 6 to 8 months for custom wedding invitations and 3-5 months for semi custom invitations. To avoid rush fees and shipping fees, give yourself that additional planning time. We want to make this overall experience a positive one for everything involved by allowing enough time to plan, design, send to production, assemble and mail your invites! At fioribelle, we only book 20 weddings per year to guarantee quality of product and service to our couples. Once our calendar slots fill up, we are booked out! This is why it’s so important to book now!

When designing your custom wedding invitation, I love to add your design elements to the wedding envelope liner! Not only are they beautiful but they really do serve a purpose! Liners help protect your invitation in the mail. The extra layer of paper helps make the envelope a tiny bit stronger and more sturdy. Keeping your gorgeous wedding invitation that much safer from tears! In addition, envelope liners are a cost effective way to add a special touch to your invitations.

Weddings can be huge events these days! Some couples may love having such a large event to share with their friends and family. But others may want a more private feel. Destination weddings allow you the chance to invite your whole guest list and leaving it up to the guest to determine if they can join in on the big day.

I come from a big family that is spread all over the world. When I was planning my own wedding just the thought of having over 300 guests attending was enough to overwhelm me! Once we chose to have our wedding in Puerto Rico (a place that was not really central to anyone, except my husband’s super small family) we had an epiphany! I could invite all 300 guests, no one would feel left out (i see you, great-great-great-aunt Teresa) but we knew that only a few of those 300 guests would actually make an effort (and investment) to be with us that day. We had 75 guests attend - including us and our parents and siblings - and it was perfect. We weren’t offended by those that couldn’t join us, we understood that a destination wedding is difficult for some of our friends and family. But inviting them allowed them to make the choice that best fit their needs while still feeling appreciative for being included (even if they couldn’t join!).

This is your friendly reminder to mail out those invitations!!

In order to allow enough time for the RSVPs to arrive back to you, you will want to mail your invitations between 8-12 weeks before your wedding date. If you mail out the invitations too close to your wedding date, you will run into a shorter time frame to get all your guest totals to your venue for final head counts. For RSVPs, allow at the very least 4 weeks for guests to reply.

So many of my couples are creating Save the Dates. So what's the deal with when to mail them to your guests?

These smaller cards, postcards or even magnets are typically mailed between 6-9 months before your wedding date.

You really only need to include the date of the wedding and the city. But you can even add your wedding website, if you have one, so your guests can follow along throughout the process!

Hola! It's me! Karen, the face, hands, mind and voice behind all the pretty posts and silly reels 💕 Sometimes it feels like this space is forever changing, so the fact that y'all are here to hang out with me is amazing! Thank you!

Since I have THE freshest branding pics thanks to my girl , I thought today would be a good day to share a few random facts about me:

🍷I haven't had red wine since moving to FL - I love a good glass of tempranillo or a cab sauv, but it's too hot out here so I stick to white wine simply because it is meant to be enjoyed at a cooler temp

🎒 One thing I know I do very well (besides designing gorgeous paper goods) is packing for trips. I love travelling and every time we go anywhere I make it a goal to bring all the essentials without feeling like we brought the whole house with us.

🧀 I simply cannot live without cheese. Cheese has been one of my favorite foods ever since I was little - I'm a bit of a cheese snob tho, so get away from me with your plastic velveeta and your kraft slices lol. One of my favorite things to do is getting a few small blocks of different cheeses to try at the deli and making our own cheese board to watch movies with the girls on weekends. Val and Liv are also learning from a very early age that CHEESE IS LIFE!

✨this wouldn't be an intro post if I didn't share (like I always do) that I:
- am addicted to TV
- am terrified of clowns (mimes too, tbh)
- if I could live anywhere in the world, I would live in Barcelona
- love entertaining but hate cooking
- never met a dog I didn't instantly and deeply fall in love with

Let's dive deeper into wedding invitations! After the main invitation card, you'll want separate cards to include in your wedding invitation suite. These can include:

Reception card: address and time
Wedding day details: parking, transportation, other details
Registry information
RSVP card or information on how to RSVP
